Dougz Mugz

One of a kind, often with carving, unglazed sections and unique glaze combinations. These are not your average little mugs. These are large scale mugs for drinks and soup with unique carving, glaze and other decoration.

Barbara Thomas Pottery

Wheel Thrown Mugs and Jars with Sculptural Handles and Lids.

Genevieve Bensason

Genevieve’s mugs are thoughtfully designed with comfortable, inviting forms. She works with shino glazes in a gas kiln, allowing for natural, one-of-a-kind finishes. Each mug is made to be both practical and uniquely special.

Haus of Nie

Haus of Nie (“knee”) focuses primarily on design and practicality, with slip and glaze painting as their primary choice for embellishment. While no two mugs are the same, all are made with the intention of producing ease and joy when used.

The Loch Doon area was memorialized in celebrated Scottish poet, Robert Burns piece “Ye banks and braes O’ bonnie Doon”

Ye banks and braes o’ bonny Doon,
How can ye bloom sae fresh and fair?
How can ye chant, ye little birds,
And I sae weary fu’ o’ care?
Thou’lt break my heart, thou warbling bird,
That wantons thro’ the flowering thorn:
Thou minds me o’ departed joys,
Departed, never to return.

Aft hae I rov’d by bonnie Doon,
To see the rose and woodbine twine;
And ilka bird sang o’ its love,
And fondly sae did I o’ mine.
Wi’ lightsome heart I pu’d a rose,
Fu’ sweet upon its thorny tree;
And my fause lover stole my rose,
But, ah! he left the thorn wi’ me.
