The Ontario Culture Days Festival is an annual celebration of arts, culture and heritage taking place each fall across the province. Organizers host programs throughout Ontario and invite the public to participate for free. This year’s Festival will take place from September 18 to October 4, 2026.
Sketching in the Gallery
Take a moment to be inspired by our current exhibition and the works in our collection, sketching an artwork of your own. Visitors are encouraged to spend extra time in the gallery by exploring their own creativity. All materials will be provided; participants will take home the work they create.

Join us for a historic tour of Lower Doon, learning about the neighbourhood Homer Watson lived in and captured via painting. Beginning with a few buildings and no electricity, evolving into a “company town” before becoming part of Berlin, the Lower Doon neighbourhood has seen fires, floods, railways, and mills.

En Plein Air Drawing Drop-in Workshop!
Join us to sketch the beauty of our Heritage home and grounds. Visitors will have the opportunity to explore our site through En Plein Air or “in the air” drawing. All materials will be provided; participants will take home the work they create.
