Youth Creators Guild
HWHG Youth Creators Guild is an art space for teens (ages 12-17) to amplify their voices, make a lasting impact on local arts communities, and build meaningful connections with contemporary art and artists!
Guild members will attend weekly meetings where they will participate in creative workshops, learn new skills, learn about current exhibitions, and create a collaborative installation for the HWHG grounds.
HWHG is searching for students who are passionate about the arts and creativity, interested in connecting with their community, and enjoy working with their peers! The HWHG Youth Creators Guild is a 6-month long commitment offering volunteer hours to students to expand on their leadership skills, collaboratively design artworks and connect with contemporary art and artists.

The Guild’s Summer Edition runs on Tuesdays & Thursdays from 1:30 – 4:00 pm. Participates can register for a variety of creative workshops to learn new skills and add some creativity to their summer!
Participants need to be pre-registered to participate, but last-minute registrations are welcome!

- Is there a cost to join the Guild?
No, the YCG is free to attend. - Do I have to attend every meeting?
No, but you must attend a minimum of 4 to receive volunteer hours. - How many volunteer hours will I get?
1 hr. per meeting, a total of 12 hrs. If all meetings are attended. - What kind of art workshops or activities will the guild be doing?
Guild members will explore a wide range of mediums including painting, sculpture, fibre art, and more.

- Is there a cost to join the Guild?
Yes, a small $15 fee helps us with art supplies. Once the guild returns to bi-weekly meetings in the fall, there will be no cost to attend. If cost is a barrier, please reach out to programs@homerwatson.on.ca - Do I have to register ahead of time?

YCG will be led by Tanner (They/Them) a queer & non-binary arts educator who focuses on creating spaces for community members to connect and grow through art-making across all ages and abilities.
