HWHG art programs inspire creativity, knowledge and ideas. Our vibrant programs include creative workshops, youth initiatives, open studios, free family drop-in programs, and enriching school or group visits.  

Historic Collection: 

HWHG maintains a collection with over 160 years of artistic history. It features a collection of artwork, artifacts, and archival material that represent various generations of artists that lived in the historic home.  

Events:  

HWHG hosts signature events like the annual Art Fair and Spirit Season, raising vital funds while celebrating and amplifying art and culture in our community. 

Exhibitions: 

HWHG proudly curates a dynamic calendar of exhibitions throughout the year, featuring an extensive range of artistic techniques, mediums, and thematic subjects.

The Loch Doon area was memorialized in celebrated Scottish poet, Robert Burns piece “Ye banks and braes O’ bonnie Doon”

Ye banks and braes o’ bonny Doon,
How can ye bloom sae fresh and fair?
