Regional Youth Creators Club

The Regional Youth Creators Club is a free bi-weekly social group and workshop series for artists ages 12 to 17. Each session will feature a new workshop with all materials provided, including painting, sculpture, collage, printmaking, and drawing.

The goal is to teach participants an array of creative practices while giving them a space for peer-to-peer connections. At the end of the program in April/May 2027, there will be an opportunity to share participant work and even gain some volunteer hours!

Come as often as you can, and come dressed for making art.

The Loch Doon area was memorialized in celebrated Scottish poet, Robert Burns piece “Ye banks and braes O’ bonnie Doon”

Ye banks and braes o’ bonny Doon,
How can ye bloom sae fresh and fair?
How can ye chant, ye little birds,
And I sae weary fu’ o’ care?
Thou’lt break my heart, thou warbling bird,
That wantons thro’ the flowering thorn:
Thou minds me o’ departed joys,
Departed, never to return.

Aft hae I rov’d by bonnie Doon,
To see the rose and woodbine twine;
And ilka bird sang o’ its love,
And fondly sae did I o’ mine.
Wi’ lightsome heart I pu’d a rose,
Fu’ sweet upon its thorny tree;
And my fause lover stole my rose,
But, ah! he left the thorn wi’ me.
