Pop-up Spring Market 2026

March 10 – March 22, 2026

Free event | Donations accepted in-person or online

The theme for this pop-up is anything handmade that sings of spring! Do your tulips need a ceramic garden companion? Do you wish you could keep the feeling of spring indoors with you all year long? This pop-up is for you! Visit the gallery during our open hours to see local artists’ wares alongside our regularly scheduled exhibitions!

Artist Information

This pop-up market will be limited to plinths, shelves, and small tables within the gallery. Each artist will receive about 15 inches x 15 inches of space, and we are looking for items that are generally smaller than 5 inches in every dimension. We will consider submissions in any medium, but the work must be original and handmade.

All sales will be facilitated by Homer Watson House & Gallery. We accept debit, credit, and cash on site. No online sales. Homer Watson House & Gallery will retain 30% of total sales revenue. Items will be dropped off and picked up for only a short time at the start and end of each show, as we don’t have room to keep art in storage.

The Loch Doon area was memorialized in celebrated Scottish poet, Robert Burns piece “Ye banks and braes O’ bonnie Doon”

Ye banks and braes o’ bonny Doon,
How can ye bloom sae fresh and fair?
How can ye chant, ye little birds,
And I sae weary fu’ o’ care?
Thou’lt break my heart, thou warbling bird,
That wantons thro’ the flowering thorn:
Thou minds me o’ departed joys,
Departed, never to return.

Aft hae I rov’d by bonnie Doon,
To see the rose and woodbine twine;
And ilka bird sang o’ its love,
And fondly sae did I o’ mine.
Wi’ lightsome heart I pu’d a rose,
Fu’ sweet upon its thorny tree;
And my fause lover stole my rose,
But, ah! he left the thorn wi’ me.
