Summertime Storytelling Clothesline Art Sale
Sunday, June 1st, 2025 | 12:00-4:00pm
To expand on the pairing of visual art and word-based mediums, the Homer Watson House & Gallery will be hosting a clothesline art sale to accompany to the Writer’s Market, featuring artwork themed primarily around the literary world. We are looking for art that makes use of text elements, story-based concepts, and/or graphic/comic styles.
Unframed works will be displayed on clotheslines through the trees and along the edge of the park.
We will consider all artwork that is original and unframed. All artists and creators are welcome to participate. Both emerging and seasoned artists can sell their artwork in a fun, easy and approachable way. Artwork is displayed on a clothesline only (must be light weight). Tables, tents, and display units are not allowed. Lawn chairs, clothes pins and bins for extra unframed works are highly recommended. The Gallery does not take commission on any sales.
Clothesline Artist/Vendor fee: $25
Space: 10ft section of clothesline (comprised of two actual lines, one above the other)

Paper Art by Sofia
Sofia loves exploring paper craft and paper based art forms. She started cutting paper in intricate shapes using an old Spirograph toy, and then incorporated other organic forms. She cuts each design by hand.

EdenDraws
Whether it’s photography, digital art, or acrylic painting Edendraw’s work covers a wide variety of subjects. From nature, to landscapes, to portraiture Edendraws love of colour shines though in all her work.

Salma Abdelaziz
Salma’s Art celebrates the strength and spirit of fictional (and non fictional) women. Through her art she tries to inspire women and girls with the courage and wisdom of her heroines who are intelligent, well-read , and unapologetically feminine.

Charity Konrath
Charity explores form and colour with a variety of mediums.

Art by Deb Mowatt
Bright and bold Ontario landscapes and florals created on card stock (greeting cards) and watercolor paper will fill Deb's clothesline this year. Choose from unique one-of-a-kind originals or prints as there is something for every budget.

Isaac Zepeda-Ayala
Isaac Zepeda Ayala is an interdisciplinary designer and mixed media artist based on the Six Nations Land known as Kitchener ON. Working in mediums like collages, spray paint, oils, stencils, and found objects his work method is constantly evolving.

Yellow-Dog Studios
Yellow-Dog Studios artist, Laura, creates needle felted paintings using primarily Shetland and Corriedale wool. A variety of other plant and animal fibres may also be used in her art. Examples might include bamboo, silk, Yak, and Alpaca.

Pure Reflections
Izabela enjoys working with the mediums of watercolour and Chinese Ink. Her work shows her deep inner world, connection to nature and subtle realms. Chinese ink and calligraphy work stems from the practice of Tai Chi Qigong and the Spirit Brush.

Bari Parsche
There are acrylic, watercolour, and gouache. There is paper, canvas, and fabric. There is eerie, surreal, and more.

Liminal Record
Liminal Record's prints explore organic subjects, movement, and occasionally tip into the macabre. Offcuts from other works find their way back into her process through being recycled into collagraph prints and beautiful handmade paper.

Jen Hadley
A self-taught artist inspired by the peacefulness of Northern Ontario, sandy shores, and the beauty of nature everywhere. Her work explores a range of mediums- watercolour, acrylic, resin, and mixed media, capturing the spirit of the natural world.
